Leading from the Middle Listserv
A listserv to facilitate information sharing among California community college practitioners who are leading change in their roles as deans, department chairs, coordinators, and committee chairs.
How to subscribe to our listserv:
1. Go to your email system and open a blank email.
2. In the "To:" box, type the following information: listserv@listserv.cccnext.net
3. In the "Subject" Box: leave this blank
4. In the body of your message type only the following: subscribe leadership
5. Do NOT include your signature in the body of your message
6. Send the message. You should get a response telling you that you have been added.
How to send a message to the listserv:
1. Go to your email system and open a blank email.
2. In the "To:" box, type the following: leadership@listserv.cccnext.net
3. In the "Subject" Box: type the subject of your message
4. In the body of your message type: type your message and your signature
5. Send the message.
6. You will receive an e-mail confirmation of your request, which will require you to respond to verify that you are the sender; just follow the instructions that you receive.
7. After you confirm that you are the sender, the message will go to all listserv members.
How to respond to a listserv message:
1. If a reader wishes to reply ONLY TO THE PERSON WHO SENT THE MESSAGE, hit the "Reply" button.
2. If a reader wishes to reply TO ALL LISTSERV MEMBERS, IN ADDITION TO THE PERSON WHO SENT THE MESSAGE, hit the "Reply To All" button.

1. Go to the following website and following the instructions for accessing the archives:listserv.cccnext.net/archives/leadership.html
How to unsubscribe from our listserv:
1. Go to your email system and open a blank email.

4. In the body of your message type: unsubscribe leadership
5. Do NOT include your signature in the body of your message
6. Send the message. You should get a response telling you that you have been removed.
Listserv Use Guidelines
The Leading from the Middle listserv, hosted by the CCC Technology Center at Butte College, is not for commercial or private use. Both normal "netiquette" and academic freedom of expression are expected of users to maximize its utility. Please follow these simple guidelines in using the listserv:
- All postings should be signed with the subscriber's name, job title, organization name and e-mail address.
- All responses to postings should be signed with the subscriber's name, job title, organization name and e-mail address.
- In general, attachments should NOT be sent to members of the listserv, because large documents will not go through. Please request that listserv members contact you directly for attachments you might wish to share.
- Personal messages should be sent directly to an individual's e-mail address, NOT to the list.
- This listserv is not intended for advertising, product-related press releases or other commercial use.
- Members may occasionally use the listserv for announcements of non-commercial conferences, publications and other non-commercial resources of general interest to other subscribers.
- Product endorsements are acceptable if in the context of a request for information or sharing of an experience. Responses from a representative of a corporate member should be in the context of a reasonable answer to a question posed by a subscriber and should not be blatantly commercial. Such postings should include the identifying signature of the person posting the message.
- The opinions expressed in listserv discussions are those of individual subscribers and not necessarily those of their institutions. The RP Group is not responsible for the opinions expressed on the list.
